Obituary for Yvonne Michelle Zamudio

Yvonne Michelle Zamudio, our beloved daughter, mother, Nana and friend went to her father in heaven, Saturday, January 14, 2023.
Yvonne was born October 16, 1968 in Lawrence Kansas to Vinnie Atwood and Robert Morris. Yvonne was the youngest of three, she had an older sister, Rebecca (Becky), and a brother Donald.
As many other children, Yvonne and her sister loved tormenting their brother, they would talk him in to sitting in his Tonka truck as they pushed him down the hill so he would crash. They would also steal candy from their parents candy dish, eat it, and stuff the wrappers under Donald’s mattress so that he would get in trouble.
When Yvonne wasn’t causing mischief, she would be talking with wild animals by their home out in the country. In the late 80s Yvonne‘s mother remarried, and Yvonne gained a wonderful man in her life who she called “dad” Roger Atwood. In 1990. She gave birth to her only living child, her pride and joy, Ebony.
In 1992 she met Juan Zamudio who became the love of her life and they married on December 7, 1996.
Yvonne loved to fish and be outdoors. She also enjoyed playing pool even if she didn’t always play well. Yvonne also got her associates in business back in the 90s. She really liked numbers and math was always her favorite subject in school, which makes sense as to why she usually worked for tax companies. However, that’s not all she did for work. She was also a bartender, caregiver, EMT, firefighter, customer service rep, and more.
Yvonne was truly an astonishing person. She cared for all and would help anyway she could, she never had anything bad to say about anyone. Yvonne loved all, but for all who knew her knew her most pride and joy was her daughter and her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.
Yvonne is survived by her stepdad Roger Atwood, daughter Ebony Hurtado, son-in-law, Jhony Hurtado, grandchildren, Rebecca, Valeria, Victor, and Mateo.
She is preceded by mother Vinny Atwood, brother, Donald Morris, husband Juan Zamudio, sister Rebecca Alvis, and father Robert Morris.
