Obituary for Wade Carol Hamby

Wade Carol Hamby, 62 of Kimberly passed away November 29th, 2022. Wade was born in Burley Idaho on July 22, 1960, to George Carol and Nora Dye Hamby and Big Brother Larry. Wade grew up in Kimberly and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1978. Soon after he started his trucking career with Montana Express and worked for them for many years. He then drove for Trans Systems and at the time of his passing was working for Jared Giles in Murtaugh.
Wade married Nanette Stimpson in Shoshone Idaho May of 1990. Along with Nanette came her darling daughter Amber, whom he was extremely fond of and adored spending time with. Unfortunately, just a year later Nanette was killed in an auto accident and Amber went to live with family in Utah. Years later Wade married Loretta Bowles. This marriage ended in 2013 in divorce, but they were able to stay friends. We appreciate that Loretta continued to check on Wade and be there for him.
Wade loved animals and it was rare that he did not have a dog in tow. They were his best friends, his road companions and possibly his partners in crime. Especially his dog Deogee “D-O-G” Who comforted him through some rough times. His most recent companion was a yellow lab named Sammie.
From the time Wade could walk and talk he was wheeling and dealing. He could find an interesting looking rock and convince someone it was an ancient fossil then turn around and make a good trade for something he wanted. He continued these trading skills throughout his life and somehow always ended up with the better trade in the end. We believe this was inherited from Grandpa Game Hamby. Wade was a collector of gadgets and anything that looked interesting. Especially if it was tradable.
Wade liked guns and knives, ice fishing and bird hunting. He was a good friend with a big heart and will be missed by many.
Our family would like to thank his neighbor Andy for helping Wade and for his years of friendship. Also his Employer and friend Jared Giles for his continued support.
Wade leaves behind his brother Larry (Carma), Nanette’s Daughter Amber (Clint), Nieces Amanda (Chris), Courtney (Rodney), Great Nephew Zachary and Great Niece Emma. Along with aunts, uncles, many cousins, and extended family.
