Patricia brought with her, three adult children into the family, Debra Hillier, Curtis (Yvette) Cooley, and Robyn (Terry) Weatherford. Troy and Pat both later retired from Lamb Weston/Con Agra and enjoyed a quiet life with their dogs, Baxter, Mr. Wilson, Oscar (Peanut), and Tink.

Throughout his long life, Troy had many hobbies that he enjoyed. He taught his children and grandchildren how to ride dirt bikes, camp and fish. He loved the outdoors and would enjoy his hobbies as often as he could, until he could not anymore. He also had a love of music and old cars.

He is survived in this life by his loving wife, Patricia; sisters, Ruth Ann, Dixie and Judy; brother, Don; Children, Michelle, Cynthia, Scott, Curtis, and Robyn and his 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Troy was ready for Jesus to take him home and talked about it often. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and his two loving dogs, Oscar and Tink, who never left his side.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of his doctors and care providers who took such good care of Troy in and out of the hospital.
