Norman was so helpful to my friend and I as we embarked on a cross-country journey for her to return to the East Coast in the late summer of 2001. We didn't even make it to Bliss, ID from Boise when the transmission in her car kicked the can. We contacted Norm and he had a small selection of vehicles (of course he did) that could get us on the road again. And the Mercury Mystique made it all the way to Boston, MA where I was flying home from. Just missed the 9-11 hijacking from Logan Airport by two days. I remember holidays and occasions in Twin and his wry sense of humor. He will be missed, may he rest in peace.

So sad. Norm would walk at the mall in the mornings the past two winters. He walked very slowly and I would join him for a lap or a 1/2 lap last winter. Then he would have a cup of coffee and I would join him when I finished walking. We talked racing and cars and he made it clear he was so proud of his family. He stopped at my place to see my car collection and we visited his garage as well. If we can ever walk at the mall again it won't be the same.
