Obituary for Mildred Jeannette Rodriguez

Mildred Jeanette Rodriguez-Diaz born March 24th, 1947 went to be with her Father God in heaven on May 13, 2021.
Mildred a.k.a. “Millie” was a very fiery, funny and loving lady. Her love was so big, if you knew her you were blessed beyond measure. She loved jokes, cooking for her family, great conversation, gardening, sewing, writing, singing, but most of all she loved her family and very close friends. In her younger years she went to N.Y.U to learn interior decorating and sewing. She was a phenomenal seamstress, taking old furniture that looked horrible and turning it into something new and beautiful and updated. She also made a beautiful and unique wedding dress for her daughter that was featured in a modeling event. Another talent of Millies was doing hair side-by-side her brother Tommy, he once was a famous hair beautician who was well known for doing Miss America pageants hair and some of America’s favorite Hollywood actors hair. She even worked at L.A Times for a short bit.

Mildred traveled all over and learned many skills in her life. She touched many peoples hearts and souls, from her children’s friends giving them advice over morning or afternoon coffee, to helping the elderly as a nurse, to the high schoolers she helped to graduate from Buhl high school. Millie always had a love for everyone. With many life experiences and all her talents, it was no wonder so many were touched by her life here on earth. She grew up with two loving parents, three beautiful and wonderful sisters, three very talented and protective brothers, many cousins and aunts. Lots of loving family! As a grandmother she always loved being with her grand babies as much as possible.

Mildred was blessed to live through some of the best decades in America from dancing at the hop in the 50’s, the 60’s movement, to the 70s disco balls at the studio 54 in New York City, to the Colorado and Montana mountains, to the Puerto Rican sunsets, to the California oceans, Mildred lived a full life.

As a child her daddy would take her and her siblings to the park in New York City and tell them to meet him at the monkey rides, he really meant to say monkey bars but from that moment on her and her siblings would gather at the monkey rides together. She is the first sibling in her family to get to go to heaven, I am sure she is smiling down now saying “meet you at the monkey rides.”

She will always be remembered for her fighting spirit, her beautiful caring soul and her loving heart.

Thank you Millie for all you brought into this world. A spirit so bright, a true teacher, a great sister, a loving aunt, a devoted mother and grandmother and a wonderful caring friend. You will be missed.

Mildred is survived by her son Rob Eboli, daughter Jeavine Trowbridge, her granddaughter Asia Eboli, Jayda Eboli, Sincere Torrero, Zamara Trowbridge, grandson Aigean Chisum-Eboli, her great grand babies Leo and Aslan Velis, and another beautiful great grandson due August 2021.
She is also survived by her siblings Lisa, Marie, Betsy, Tommy, Eddie and Peter Rodriguez Diaz. And many nieces and nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held next June 2022, if you would like to donate or join us in celebrating her life please contact Jeavine Trowbridge via Facebook.
