Obituary for Anna Moore

Mary Anna “Anna” Moore passed away peacefully on February 22, 2021 at the Canyons Retirement Community in Twin Falls, Idaho.

She was born December 6, 1929 to Alfred and Beulah Reed in Lamar, Missouri. She was on of eight children. During the Great Depression, the family moved to Idaho searching for work. In 1947, Anna met Harold “Hank” Moore, and after a whirlwind courtship, were married on November 8, 1947. Hank and Anna were blessed with three children: Ginger, Greg, and Doug. Together, they farmed and raised three busy kids north of Hansen.
She was always busy with the three kids as well as holding down a job as one of the lunch ladies at Hansen School.

Cooking was her passion. Many folks were lucky enough to enjoy her specialties: finger steaks, fried chicken, beef and noodles, and all kinds of pies.

She is survived by her three children, Ginger Butler and her companion Bill Johnson, Greg (Kirstin) Moore, Doug Moore and his companion Cheryl Whittier. She is also survived by one brother, Leon (Virginia) Reed; sister-in-law Vera Reed; and brother-in-law Vern Adams; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death her parents, her loving husband, Hank Moore; sisters Ailene “Sis” Dalton, Jean Mort, Ruth Mitchell, Phyllis Adams; brother Lewis “Bud” Reed, and baby brother Clyde Reed.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at White-Reynolds Funeral Chapel 2466 Addison Ave E. in Twin Falls, with a viewing one hour prior. She will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park, planted next to Hank.
