Obituary for Lupie Goodman

Our loving mother, devoted wife, and dearest friend, Lupie Goodman sadly passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 72. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her and loved her husband Patrick Goodman more than her weekly TV shows (American Idol). She was a well-loved member at Valley Agronomics community where she worked for 17 years.

Lupie is survived by her true love Patrick Goodman; her three children: Mason Goodman, Dorothy Freels, and Chrisi Jacobs. She obtained a daughter in-law in 2018 that she considered a true daughter and accepted her into the family with ease, Maggie Goodman. She had 3 granddaughters: Mckenzie, Rylie, and Brooklynn. In-addition to the human granddaughters, she had two granddoggies that she would brag about to everyone on their instagram - Benji & Remi. These dogs loved her unconditionally, not only for her ability to give out treats without having to do tricks but if they could talk they would say she had the true compassion and loving nature any grandma inherits. Lupie was a devoted wife and her family was her greatest joy.

She loved her parents, Fidel and Christina Guillen. She cherished her siblings Mary Louise Ward, Delores, Virginia Guillen, Fidel Jr., Jessie Guillen and Cora Martinez.

Lupie Goodman will be remembered for her pranks on her friends, upsetting her husband about politics, and feeding an abundance of treats to her granddoggies Benji & Remi when her son wasn’t looking. Lupie was great at telling the driver when to signal into another lane or when they are going over the speed limit from the backseat. She also never missed an opportunity to give hugs and kisses in-addition to provide comfort and support to those who needed it. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the memorial service we are holding in her honor at Reynolds Funeral Chapel on February 23, 2023 at 12 pm with viewing one hour prior at 11 am.
