Obituary for Kamala Campbell

Kamala Campbell, beloved wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend returned home to the arms of her loving Savior on March 11th 2022 with her loved ones by her side.

Kamala was born on April 21st 1969 in Burley, Idaho to Joe and Delores Brewerton. She grew up with her bestie sister Brandee, and had many great adventures in the beautiful little valley of Albion, Idaho. Playing with cousins at Grandma and Grandpa Brewerton's ranch was a real highlight and she spoke often of her love and appreciation for the Pomerelle mountains nearby.

Later, the family moved to the Minidoka area, living near Grandma Bedke, who adored and spoiled the girls. Kamala attended schools there, enjoying dance and the MiCadettes, graduating from Minico High in 1987. As a young woman, she was very artistic and blossomed as an Interior Decorator. She won Rookie of the Year as a designer while employed at Ethan Allen in Boise. Wanting a new adventure, she returned to school and became an accomplished Cosmetologist. She was very talented and excelled at both! Kamala had a way with design and color, whether it was a room or a head of hair. Throughout her amazing career she gained many friends with her compassionate, loving heart, that touched all who knew her.

Kamala was blessed with a beautiful, spunky little girl that she named Elvis and true to her name she was her mama’s little rockstar! They had an incredible bond and made lots of lasting memories together. Kam loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. On one particular camping trip she met Roger, the love of her life.... Her Soulmate! They were smitten and married on September 8th 2007 in Twin Falls Idaho. They soon after purchased their first home in Kimberly, putting Kamala's mad design skills to work. She and Rog made this beautiful little house their home, by stopping at every Thrift store and finding many treasures which was another gift that brought Kam much delight!

Over the years they enjoyed many concerts, fun campouts, four wheeling, long talks, gardening and backyard barbecues with friends and their good ole dog Vamp. The love of Jesus gave her great passion for scripture study and she shared that passion with so many others as she led them through the adventures and teachings of the Bible. She treasured her Bible Study fellowship family and enjoyed the friendships and blessings that being a BSF leader brought to her life for many years.

A woman of devotion to her Savior, her family, and her many friends... Kam was committed to prayer and her relationship with God which shaped the beautiful ways she appreciated life. She was truly one-of-a-kind and lived to the beat of her own drum!

She is survived by her husband, Roger Campbell; daughter and bonus son, Elvis and (Masyn) Malmstrom; mother, Delores Brewerton; sister, Brandee Brewerton Grimsman; bonus parents, Bruce and Kayleen Campbell; Aunt Janice and Uncle Lester Perry and many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Brewerton; Grandma Bedke and Grandma and Grandpa Brewerton.

There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday March 19th at 11:00 am at the Reformed Church located at 1631 Grandview Dr. N. Twin Falls, Idaho.
