Obituary for Justin Steven Shields
Justin Steven Shields, 45 of Hansen passed away February 4th, 2022 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Justin was born March 12, 1976 in Twin Falls to Dayton Dexter and Paula Marie Stanton Shields. He grew up in Jerome and graduated from Jerome High School in 1994. Growing up he played baseball, wrestling, and many other school activities. Justin married Sarah Carlson March 21st of 1998 and after spending several years in Nampa they moved in 2002 to the Carlson family farm in Hansen, and have been there ever since. From this marriage came two children Audrey and Wesley. Justin worked at Culligan of Magic Valley for 22 years working in customer service, repairs, installations, and deliveries. In his spare time he enjoyed coaching numerous sports teams for his children, and volunteering as a coach for Hansen JR/SR High School. He most recently joined an ax throwing league and thoroughly enjoyed it. He never met a stranger and when you met Justin you immediately were a friend.
Justin was preceded in death by his Father Dayton Shields, Mother Paula Kayser, Stepfather Donald Kayser, his grand and great-grandparents. He is survived by his wife Sarah Carlson-Shields, his children, Audrey and Wesley Shields all of Hansen. Sister Kerrin (Gary) Daudt of Meridian, Idaho. Justin is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his dream dog that he got in 2018 Winston his Bull Terrier.
