On January 9, 2021, Johnny passed away after a courageous battle with the Coronavirus, held by his loving wife, Vicky Zambrano. He was a retired maintenance supervisor from JR Wood Inc./Dole Packaged Foods, who continued working by preparing delicious food at Bullzz-eye BBQ in Idaho. Johnny Zambrano's love of life did not come to an end with his death. His family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Johnny was a jack of all trades working in many jobs from a cook, waste management, butcher, and press printer operator. In his free time, Johnny was one of the best coaches around. He coached baseball, football, basketball, and girl's fastpitch softball. Everybody knew him as 'Coach.' Many times, he took his team to the championships and won. He was looked up to by so many, and many kids called him their second dad. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Johnny. He loved to sit on his porch with his wife and three dogs sipping on a glass of iced tea and listening to his favorite music. He loved the outdoors and was always ready for an adventure.

He was a stern dad when his kids were young, making sure they would be well-rounded and responsible adults. Since having grandkids, he had softened up tremendously. His grandkids were his world. He was known for giving everyone he knew a nickname. He texted all his family members every morning and every night, wishing them good morning and goodnight.

Johnny is preceded in death by his loving mother, Alejandra. Johnny is survived by his father Juan, his wife Vicky, his children Michelle (Michael), John-Chuck (Kehaulani), Alicia (Victor), 13 grandkids Cora (Bradley), Anthony, Alyson, Alexis, Isaac, Victor Jr, Kalea, Donielle, Amelia, Karissa, Aryanna, Armani, Alayna, and two great-grandkids Koa and Rosie; 11 siblings Linda, Benny, Rosie (Michael), Tony (Ernestina), Angie (Brian), Rene (Janet), Bert, Priscilla (John), Christina (Pete), Nico, and Bucky (Jocelyn); his three dogs Chata, Chin-Chin, and Cheddie; and many other family members and friends.

Johnny was a faithful man and a servant of Jesus Christ. A loyal Catholic, you could see him on Saturdays at Mass at St Anthony's Church in Atwater and when he moved to Idaho at Immaculate Conception in Buhl, Idaho.
His family and friends will truly miss him. He was a constant joker and loved to laugh. Johnny would want everyone to celebrate his life and not be sad. One of his favorite sayings was “there’s no crying in baseball.”
Funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony’s Church in Atwater at a later date and he will be put to rest at Winton Cemetery next to his loving mother.

I am so blessed to have him as my Brother-in law, and for all of those who came into my life because of him.
He was very patient that summer when he was trying to teach me how to whistle. When it did happen we were BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers, I had a piece of hot dog in mouth and I whistle so loud (honestly it saved me a few times in my life...cause I can whistle and it pierces the ears). Johnny also taught me how to drive and yes what patience he had!! What a "Coach" he is still to many in remembrance.
What a privilege it has been being one of his morning and nightly emoji recipients (priceless).
Priceless watching him all these years growing into the man he became. Thank you for love my sister.
Miss you Johnny and looking forward to when we meet again!

I will forever cherish our road trip to California and back to Idaho bro . Just 2 Goofballs listening to favorite tunes and cracking jokes. I would always bring a six pack of bud and had a beer with you on your birthday. until one time your work shift changed and you weren’t home...So II took the bottles of beer out of the cardboard, flattened it and left it sticking it on your door haha 😆 I will miss your Good morning and goodnight emoji. Most of all I will miss my big brother 💔 until we meet again bro. kiss our mama for me.😇
