Obituary for Jean Marie Dille

Jean Marie Dille passed away September 23, 2022, from Dementia. Jean (Jeannie) Marie Dille was born August 4, 1952, in Miles City, Montana to Dale LeRoy Benti and Darlene Benti. She enjoyed family activities, especially fishing on the Boulder River in the summer and ice skating and skiing in the winter.

Jeannie is the oldest of three children: her brother Bruce and sister Patsy. Jeannie graduated from Custor High School in 1970 and then attended 1 year at Miles City Community College and graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She then moved to Provo, Utah and worked full-time at the David O. McKay Library at BYU. It was in Provo where she met Norma Dille in 1973. They were married and sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple, January 7, 1976. They mad their home in Pasadena, Texas where Norman worked.

It was there that their first two children were born; Lorin Dale, November 10, 1976, and Karina Ilene, February 14, 1978. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho for a short time and then Norman was offered a position with the Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington. They then spent the next 36 years in Washington. It was while living in Kent, Washington that their last two children were born: Michelle Marie, February 9, 1984, and Elaina Renee, January 21, 1986.

Jeannie loved to load the car with the children and go for long drives. She was an avid reader and enjoyed romances and Clive Cussler books. Jeannie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society, Young Womens, and Primary and Nursery. She loved children and enjoyed teaching them. She always had a smile for everyone. She was a fantastic cook and could make a tasty meal out of whatever was at hand.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles and aunts, and her father, Dale Benti. She is survived by her husband, Norman Dille; four children, Lorin Dille, Karina (Alan) Rigtrup, Michelle Collins, Elaina (Jacob) Hoffmann; mother, Darlene Benti; brother, Bruce Benti; and sister, Patsy Benti; twelve grandchildren and one great grandson.

A funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday, September 30, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 847 Eastland Dr. N. in Twin Falls with a viewing one hour prior from 1 – 1:45 pm at the church.
