Obituary for Mark Corak

James “Mark” Marko Corak, 58 of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2022 at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Mark was born on October 7, 1963, in Twin Falls, Idaho to James D. Corak and Geraldine Black/ Slater. From a young age, Mark was interested in knowing how “things” operate. He would take his parents appliances completely apart, to figure out how he could put them back together. One time, he had taken all the bolts off the family camper. Unknowingly, his father tried to move the camper and then realized Mark had been up to something.

Mark completed the special education program at Robert Stuart. He would then go on to work at the YMCA in Twin Falls for 15 years. After the YMCA, Mark worked for Cain’s Fine Home Furnishings. He always said that the highlight of waking up every day, was being able to go to work. Mark was a hard-working man that always had a smile on his face. He never complained about a thing or ever talked poorly of anyone. Even in his later years through sickness, Mark never complained about how he was feeling or what he was going through.

Besides being at work, Mark enjoyed fishing. Dierkes Lake was where you could find him, in the search for the biggest fish. Mark also carried his curiosity all through life as he loved to work on radios and his camera equipment. He enjoyed taking still photos, but his favorite was recording the bands in Western Days. That was something he looked forward to every year.

Mark is survived by his sister; Jan Corak, brother; Douglas Corak, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew, 2 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew.

Mark is preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents.

Mark, we will forever miss your contagious smile, friendly personality, and love for life. We love you forever, brother. RIP
