Jaléa Laren Williams

Jan 15th 1991-March 2nd 2021

On January 15th, 1991 Kyle and Julie Williams first laid eyes on their new beautiful blue eyed baby girl and it was forever love at first sight. This precious blessing changed their lives, and the life of her protective big brother, Brandon, in the most unexplainable ways. Kyle’s Daddy’s girl was quickly and beautifully nicknamed “Little Leah”, Brandon on the other hand was not quite so eloquent in choosing his nickname for his kid sister “Stinky”. Ironically, she did not mind owning her brother’s name of choice for her. Jaléa was a sweet lovable kid that could never give away too many kisses. She had arms wide open and loved on everybody.

The small family unit of Kyle, Julie, Brandon, and Jaléa tragically changed with Kyle’s sudden passing On October 10th, 2002. Jalea suffered this traumatic loss of her Daddy when she was just 11 years old, an emptiness that was never filled. Kyle was her hero. He was her pride and joy, especially in her class when he would gladly accept Jaléa’s plea to attend her show and tell days. He lit up the room by singing his favorite songs accompanied by his own guitar playing talents.

Julie and Jaléa share a mother-daughter bond that only the two of them can truly digest. Their journey may not have always been easy, but it was surely worth it. The unconditional love they share is tough as nails, and absolutely unbreakable. They were best friends, and often spent quality time together being the rock for one another when they needed it the most. Jaléa’s goofy and witty sense of humor kept them laughing at any given moment, which helped them through some pretty tough stuff. There is nothing comparable to a Mother’s Love, and just like Julie’s unconditional love for her daughter, Jaléa was blessed with the same gift from God with the birth of her first real love, her Daughter Malayna Kay Williams in 2011. Malayna truly delivered Jaléa’s heart to her happy place. Being a Mommy was the journey she loved most. Jaléa and Malyana walked together as the next unstoppable mother/daughter duo for almost 10 years, until 2020 brought their world full circle with the gift of an angel. Asher Kai Williams-Hewett joined the team and Jaléa’s heart was again delivered to a happy place only known by that special Mother’s Love. Her children are the part of her that will keep her alive and here with us always.

Words just cannot fully justify the level of pride Jaléa had for her big Brother. Brandon was not only her very first best friend, he was also her everything! Oh man, they fought like no other, but there is not a chance in the world she would have had it any other way. Their connection and that brotherly love was undeniably priceless. If she had a million chances to choose any other big brother, she would choose him every time. He is the epitome of strength and she loved him with all her heart, even with all of his relentless teasing.

A very loving and welcoming "bonus" family became a part of the Williams' world when Julie married Keith Schmidt in July of 2007. The new father figure in Jaléa's life was a very meaningful addition. Over the years the two grew close and shared an amazing extended support system in the entire Schmidt family. Jaléa loved and adored all of them. She especially loved the fun and involved Grandpa role that Keith filled in the hearts and lives of Malayna and Asher.

Jaléa was a true outdoor Idaho girl with a passion for fishing, camping, hiking, rock climbing, and frisbee golf. Her favorite was holding a fishing pole in her hand, and she was pretty darn good at it. Often ending the trip boasting with pride owning the “catch of the day”. In her younger years, she enjoyed softball in the summer sunshine, and dancing competitively for over 7 years with Nielsen’s Dance Academy. Tap was her fun dance that she enjoyed the most. Jaléa was a little tone deaf, which was more than apparent if you ever heard her belt out Brian Adam’s “Summer of 69” song, while not musically inclined she was delighted to have a short lived musical relationship with a cello twice her size. Art and poetry filled Jaléa’s soul with joy. She was born with the gift of having a beautiful and natural way with words. Her God given creative talents blessed her with the ability to produce the most incredible artwork, that at times seemed very therapeutic and exactly what she needed. Jaléa touched the lives of many as she truly understood the art of empathy. She rarely walked away from an opportunity to be the intent listener that she was, she always made somebody feel like somebody.

Besides being a loving Mother, Daughter, & Sister, Friends and Family, delicately remember and describe Jaléa as:
Kind, Wild, Free Spirited, Goofy, Quirky, Bright, Bubbly, Funny, Witty, Appreciative, Genuine, Caring, Talented, Smart, Sincere, Patient, Empathetic, a Dreamer, a Hard Worker, a remarkable Friend, and so much more.

Jalea Laren Williams was delivered into God’s loving arms on March 2nd, 2021. Heaven has received a free spirited, kind, loving, and caring wild dreamer. God is holding her tight in his arms while we will forever hold her in our hearts.

Jaléa was preceded in death by her Father Kyle George Williams, her Grandparents Andrew and Doris Williams, and her Uncle Jack Humphrey Jr.

Jaléa is survived by her first love, her beautiful Daughter Malayna Kay Williams, her equally loved magical Son Asher Kai Williams-Hewitt, her Mother Julie K Williams-Schmidt(Stepfather Keith Schmidt), Brother Brandon (Samra) Williams, Stepbrother Shawn (Brittni) Schmidt, Stepsister Nicole Schmidt, and Grandparents, Karen and Jack Humphrey, Fred and Karen Schmidt, Gary and Denise Funderburg, several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Nieces.

You were there for me through so many things in the last 11 years. I will miss you every day for the rest of my life. I will think of all the good times and smile when I remember you in your mis matched socks. Your soul was too beautiful for this ugly world. I love you Jalea. Rest in peace my dearest friend.
