Obituary for Gloria Galan
Gloria Galan Silva age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Gloria was born in Ontario, Oregon to Andres Galan Sr. and Trinidad Barela Galan. Gloria studied at the College of Southern Idaho; she was well known in the Magic Valley communities from Twin Falls to Burley as an early childhood educator. Gloria served one term as a City Councilmember on the Twin Falls City Council from 2000-2004. She was proud of her Hispanic culture and organized Hispanic cultural celebrations in the Magic Valley.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andres and Trinidad Galan, sister Paula Vargas, brother Joe Galan, and grandson Devon Hejduk Nevarez.
She is survived by her husband Julio Silva, sons Roland Nevarez Jr. and Valentino Nevarez, Sisters Lisa Garcia; Sally Bradley; Maggie Aleman and Elvia Galan, brothers Andres Galan Jr.; Pete Galan; Bobby Galan and Sammy Galan, grandchildren Aaliyah Nevarez; Damian Nevarez; Fabian Nevarez and Ilario Nevarez, and many nieces and nephews.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
