Gilbert Lynn Kellogg, age 77, of Twin Falls, died Wednesday June 8, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
Gilbert was born July 21, 1944, to Erna Sophia Christina Riekenberg and Louis Alfred “Fred” Kellogg in Clifton Colorado.
Gilbert grew up on the Salmon Tract and attended Hollister and Filer schools. After graduating Filer High School in 1962, he joined the National Guard. Gilbert married and later divorced Gala Swatzel. From this union a son, Michael Lynn was born. Gilbert then married Katherine Lucille Brady in 1969. From this union, 2 children were born, a daughter Tracie Ann and a son Eric Scott. He lived his entire adulthood in either Filer or Twin Falls.
He owned K&S Feedbunks for about 15 years. He then ran the equipment and did maintenance at Kloepfer Concrete & Asphalt Paving for about 20 years until his retirement in 2010. He loved to read, especially Louis L’amour and David Baldacci books. He also loved the Oregon coast.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Katherine Kellogg; his children: Michael Dalrymple, Tracie Long (Jeffery), Eric Kellogg (Kim); his siblings: LeRoy (Patty), Idona Kellogg-Bentler, Velva Harris (Bob), Delwyn (Teri), Colleen Boerner (Jerry), Anita Nielsen and David; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Marlene and Darlene, and a brother in-law Bob Bentler.
