Obituary for Elias Cardenas Lua

Elias Cardenas Lua,77, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his children on August 19th, 2022. Elias was born on April 19th,1945 in Barranca Seca, Michoacan, Mexico. He was the 3rd oldest child of 10 siblings. In his early teenage years, he traveled from Mexico to California. Later moved to Pasco, Washington, married and had seven beautiful children. In 1992 he moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. Starting a new life by himself and his seven children, he managed to still help out his community of El Milagro Housing. He gave rides to anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. He enjoyed attending to the neighborhood garden, yards, and housing structures. Doing all this without being asked.

In his spare time he loved gardening, cooking, fishing, watching Mexican news, and western movies. He would spend time with family and friends telling stories growing up in Mexico and the life he lived. Elias could always make people laugh with his jokes but could warm your heart with his smile. Another great joy of his was working on cars. He would spend all day replacing transmissions and engines, not shy of getting elbows deep in grease. Many people knew what a great mechanic he was. Above all of his favorite things, his greatest passion was the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He will forever be missed. Elias was part of the Roman Catholic church.

He is survived by his seven children: Roberto(Jenice) Lua, Alfredo Lua, Leticia Lua, Pricila(Raudel) Salazar, Elias(Christina) Lua, Adan(Brittany) Lua, Jose Lua Twenty-one Grandchildren, one Great-Grandchild, three sisters, Carlota Lua, Blanca Lua, Salud Lua, two brothers, Jose Lua Cardenas, Chema Lua. He is preceded in death by his parents, Crecencio and Consuelo Lua Navarro, brothers Ramon and Moises, sisters Esperanza and Eva.
