Obituary for Donald Gene Lefler
Donald Gene Lefler, 84 of Twin Falls passed away Monday April 19, 2021 @ Canyons Retirement center.
Gene was born on April 12, 1937 in Winner South Dakota. Gene and his family moved to Burley Id in 1944. Gene worked for United Oil, Glass Detroit Diesel, Trebar Kenworth and Mack Trucks in Twin Falls, Boise and Eureka Ca. When Gene retired, he started his own home repair business here in Twin Falls and did that for several years. Gene met his fiancé Mary Jo Parde through mutual friends 6 ½ years ago. They enjoyed each others company and became close very quickly and she became an important addition to our family.
Throughout his life Gene enjoyed a variety of different activities including Rock hunting with his father, gardening with his mom, camping with friends and family, hunting and home repairs, auctions and yard sales. He also had a special place in his heart for his pets.
Gene is survived by daughters Beth (Jim) Dennis of Boise, Tammie Perrine (Randy) of Jerome, Sisters Rosemary Lancaster of Twin Falls. Patsy (Jack) Bixler of Twin Falls. Brother Jack Lefler of Merced, Ca. Judy (Charles) Potter of Casper Wy. Brother Randy Lefler (Lisa) of Virginia. He is also survived by grandchildren Robin Nichols (Pat) Danielle Graham (Gerald) Leon (Cortney) Dennis, Ben Dennis and Nathan (Amanda) Perrine, and Nicholas Perrine. Great grandchildren Augustina and Lawson Dennis as well as Jack and Charlie Perrine.
Graveside service will be at 3:00 pm held on April 30th at Filer Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel Twin Falls.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be given in Gene's name to the Humane Society of Twin Falls, ID
