Obituary for Corinne Luanna Starley

Corinne Hardman Starley, 57, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2022 after a long struggle fighting kidney failure and autoimmune diseases. The oldest child of Wayne and Linda Hardman, Corinne was born in Cherry Point, NC. She attended schools across the US as her family moved due to her father’s naval career. She graduated from South Sevier High School in 1982 and attended Dixie College and SUU before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines.

Corinne and her husband Allen wrote to one another while serving their respective missions and upon their return were married on October 7th, 1988. Corinne subsequently earned her teaching degree from Idaho State University. Though she never taught formally, she generously shared her talents teaching her children, substituting in their schools, and coaching and mentoring youth through church, sports, and musical programs. She served on boards for the Miss Magic Valley Program, Club Canyon Volleyball, and PTA groups. Corinne’s tender heart led her to service with animal rescue and to adoring her own dogs, especially her snuggle-buddy Koda and her grandpuppies.

Corinne’s five beautiful children and fifteen, soon to be 16, grandchildren are her greatest pride and joy. She could always be counted on to cheer and support them in their many endeavors. She loved to read or play games with her grandchildren and never let distance deter her from building meaningful relationships with them, often calling and facetiming to chat. Her favorite vacations were those spent with family. Corinne and Allen loved to travel the world and find a beach anywhere they could. She loved life and was quick to join a basketball or volleyball game, hike through the mountains, white water raft, Scuba dive or bask in a quiet afternoon on a beach.

Corinne is survived by her loving husband Allen, their five children and their families; Cherie (Nathan) Jorgensen, Jessica (Jacob) Allen, Andrew (Nikkita) Starley, Sierra (Derek) Thomas, Brianna (Abel) Gomez, 15 grandchildren, her mother, Linda Hardman, and brother, Nathan Hardman.

Corinne was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Hardman, and her brother, Jason Hardman.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 18th, from 6-8 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, located at 2466 Addison Ave. East in Twin Falls, ID.

A short viewing will also be held on Saturday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m. preceding the 11:00 a.m. funeral at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 2085 South Temple Drive, Twin Falls, ID.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Corinne’s honor to the Twin Falls Animal Shelter (twinfallsanimalshelter.com) or Northwest Boxer Rescue (nwboxerrescue.org).
