Obituary for Clara Florence Carter
Clara F. Carter, age 97, went to heaven January 31, 2022, a few days short of her 98th birthday. She was the daughter of Carmen M. and Minnie C. Carson.
She graduated from high school in Richfield, ID, in 1942. She also attended schools in Fairfield and Twin Falls, moving around because of her dad’s Union Pacific Railroad occupation.
Clara married William M. Carter (Bill) in a ceremony preformed by Rev. Ray Barnett, from the 1st Baptist Church in Twin Falls. They had two daughters, Saundra, and Tamara. They lived all their married life in Twin Falls, ID. Bill passed away March 19, 1987.
She will be missed so much. Her stories of her many experiences were just amazing. She was a busy little person, sewing, homemaking and keeping touch with everyone on the telephone. The family had wonderful memories of going to the “spot” on camping trips.
Clara is survived by 2 daughters; Saundra Turbeville and Tamara (Gary) Yost, grandchildren; Vance (Marci) Turbeville, Matthew Turbeville, Tony (Jennifer) Yost, Casey Yost and her only granddaughter, Kama (Ronnie) Klimes, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Clara is preceded in death by her husband; Bill, both parents; Carmen and Minnie, 2 brothers; Don and Leland, a grandson; Andy Yost and son in law; Harold.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. We have so many to thank to all who have been part of our mothers long wonderful life including Dr. Ippolito, River Rock Assisted Living and Visions Home Health.
The family will be having a private service to honor Clara’s wishes.
